StanceNation x Nisei Showoff
The StanceNation event happened this past weekend in Little Tokyo in Downtown Los Angeles as a part of Nisei Week. This year’s show held many cars ranging from JDM, VIP, Euros, old school nostalgic cars, slammed, functional, and exotics from the many car clubs here in Southern California. The weather was hot and sunny, which is not my favorite for shooting; however, I still had fun seeing what was brought out to this show.
As soon as you walk into the show, you are immediately presented with Mr. StanceNation’s, Elvis Skender, LS400. This car is the main reason as to why I wanted to come to this show. He was to bring his car last year, but was unable to make it.
In the time between last year and this year, Elvis has reworked almost every body panel on the car, gone through multiple sets of wheels, and painted his car from white to blue. Elvis had been teasing photos of his car out of the paint booth on his instagram with black and white photos. It was great to see his car in person after a year of watching his build change through the web.
His custom built Work VS-XX.
CamberGang also came out with this Evo 9 and FRS.
Late FRS having to be pushed into the show I assume for safety reasons.
Right hand drive S13.
These two Camry’s stray from the norm showing others that grandma cars are cool.
Jerald with his RSX newly wrapped in blue.
Lots of Japanese nostalgic cars showed up, including this clean Toyota Sprinter.
Shakotan style!
Love this 620 truck.
The bae Kevin and his Evo X.
Supra couple Jill and Nick! Congrats on your guys’ recent engagement!
Loved the color on this right hand drive MK4 Supra.
I wish SoCal’s van scene was more popular. I wish vans were more popular in general.
The rest of this post is mostly Super Kawaii Crew and Project Zero.
Josh’s Corolla with new takeyari pipes. They kind of look funny on a newer car.
A bunch of guys from Super Kawaii’s Washington chapter came down for this show. Have to apologize for the owner of the RSX as I didn’t get a photo of your car :(. One of my biggest peeves is getting photos of a crew and missing one or two members.
Widebody S2000s from Project Zero.
